Emini Trading
Emini trading, like Forex trading, is the preference of many day traders. The Emini futures contract is an index of the S&P 500 stocks so traders can focus on market direction rather than individual stocks. Most day traders of the Stock Market trade the market only from the up or long side. With the E-Mini, traders can just as easily trade the market from the down or short side. This adds an entire new dimension of opportunity to former stock traders. With the large up and down moves in S&P 500, there are many trading opportunities , on both the long and short side. often several times a day. Another key factor to the switch, by former stock day traders, is the new rules set down by the
US Securities and Exchange Commission
regarding day trading margins. Unlike the $25,000 minimum required to day trade stocks, an Emini futures contract only requires about $3000 in a Futures Trading Account. Trading the E-Mini, provides a versatile, efficient, and economical means of capitalizing on the daily swings in stocks. In day trading these contracts, traders can trade the entire basket of S&P 500 stocks and avoid the expense of trading individual stocks. A much more manageable option.
