Trading Basics

The first thing you must do before starting is to learn the trading basics.

In this piece, I am referring to technical trading. Fundamental trading is an entirely different style of trading and has its own set of rules.

A great place to get started on the basics is with Adam Hewison's MarketClub.

Adam Hewison has put together a great introduction to technical trading in his Free Email Trading Course. A great starting place to learning about trading.

Technical trading can be done in any time frame. You can trade Monthly, Weekly, daily, 4 Hour, 1 Hour, 30 Minutes, 15 Minutes, 5 Minutes, 1 Minute, or any other time frame you choose providing your charting package will support it.

After a while you will be able to determine which time frame is best for you. The basics, however, remain the same.
